Bruschetta is a 4 part series, focusing on human sexuality and connection. Each painting explores a stage of the menstrual cycle, alongside the correlating stage in the sexual response cycle:
1) Menstruation - Excitement
2) Follicular - Plateau
3) Ovulation - Orgasm
4) Luteal - Resolution
The canvas’s show a bread man and a tomato woman in a range of sexual poses. We follow them through their encounter together and watch the passing of time in both cycles.
